Lunarpages Is Simply the Best Web Host for Many Reasons.
I do a lot of podcasts and end up using a high amount of bandwidth. Lunarpages helps manage the cost of my high bandwidth podcast by only charging $6.95 a month for its most basic plan. 
I'm not a web designing expert. I need help at times for basic services that I have never set up before. Their customer support department has always been well trained and walked me through anything I've ever asked about. You don't end up talking to a customer service rep in a foreign country and that is nice.
When I wanted to put up a blog they couldn't have made it easier. The Lunarpages control panel allowed me to install Wordpress and the SQL databases with just a couple clicks.
I could go on about their enormous number of features and ease of their use but it was one bit that made the decision to go with Lunarpages a cinch. My podcasts had been featured on iTunes and become quite popular. I was concerned about exceeding my allotted bandwidth. I asked them what would happen if that happened. Lunarpages said that they would notify me if I got close, and before I exceeded bandwidth the site would shut down. They would get a hold of me and see what I wanted to do before they started to charge me for extra bandwidth. I didn't want my site to get shut down, but I didn't want to get charged unknowingly when just giving away free content. I thought this was fair.
When I checked with a competitor I realized how much better Lunarpages bandwidth policy was. A competitive hosting service said that they would attempt to notify me when the bandwidth limit got close. However if I was out of town, or away from my email they would continue to let the site run. In the process I would run up a bill for extra bandwidth of a few dollars a Gigabyte. When you are doing hundreds of gigabytes this could mean thousands of dollars in cost just for giving away free podcast bandwidth.
Lunarpages obviously had a much better solution to my large bandwidth issue. Even better was that after choosing them to be my webhost, they raised their bandwidth limit even higher.
